Simo received his Masters of Physical Therapy from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York in 2008 after completing his Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario in 2004. After graduation, Simo began practicing as a specialized outpatient orthopedic practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado, receiving numerous hours of clinical mentorship with FCAMPT and FAAOMPT level therapists. In addition to being in full-time clinical practice, Simo was the acting clinical director for his Colorado Springs clinic.

In 2012, Simo relocated back to Toronto and has been serving the downtown Toronto since that time. Simo has a proven track record of growing clinics, improving patient outcomes and patient satisfaction, while providing mentorship and directorial roles.

Simo has been instrumental in developing and maintaining core relationships with many large corporations while providing best practice principles to their employees.

He has also had extensive experience with professional athletes amongst a variety of sports: NHL, MLB, NBA, NFL, Football (soccer), Professional sprinters, Olympians, Rugby, Cricket, Cyclists, Tennis, other racquet sports (squash, racquetball, pickleball), Golf, and Hurling/Gaelic Football.

By specializing in hands on manual therapy (joint mobilization/manipulation, trigger point dry needling/IMS, myofascial release techniques, neuro-reeducation, and mobilizations) and coupling these techniques with exercise prescription and patient education, Simo ensures that all his patients maximize their level of recovery and function.

Simo has also been recognized by the Sunlife Lumino app as one of the highest rated and reviewed physiotherapists within downtown Toronto.

Over the past 1,5 years, Simo has also been involved with a start-up – UCOBO. Started by the founder, Simo realized its potential and joined as a partner and Head of Corporate Sales. UCOBO’s first product to market is LOBAK. It will be world’s first customized and often insurance approved low back support. UCOBO (LOBAK) has already had a successful Kickstarter campaign and are in process of finalizing iterations for market entry coming soon. Check out www.ucobo.com for more information.

Outside of work, Simo leads a very active and healthy lifestyle. Since the inception and development of SiSU TOTAL HEALTH, Simo has been implementing Thermal Therapy 2x/day (AM/PM) over the last 5 months.

Simo’s number one focus in life are his two beautiful sons, Hendrik - 8 years young, and Sawyer - 6 years young. If the three of them are not in the Sauna or Cold Plunge, they can be seen playing hockey, soccer, baseball, football or enjoying the outdoors while fishing.
